Ptarmigan is now closed.

Ptarmigan operated in Tallinn from 2011-2014. We no longer maintain any presence in Tallinn, but this website will continue to serve as an archive of the activities produced at Ptarmigan during these years.

Due Diligence Development Circuit

Due Diligence Development Circuit is a network comprised of five partner organisations in the Nordic & Batlic countries: Ptarmigan (Tallinn, Estonia), Ptarmigan (Helsinki, Finland), Small Projects (Tromsø, Norway), Mount Analogue (Stockholm, Sweden) and Weld (Stockholm, Sweden). The network is funded in 2012 by Nordic Culture Point. All of the partners are non-profit, artist-run platforms, and view the operation of their events as an artistic project in itself.

The starting point of Due Diligence Development Circuit (dddc) is to explore three content areas:

1. Experimental arts collaboration. Programmes in this field will be open-form group activities that explore performance, visual art, sound, and other forms. The emphasis is on collaboration, not the production of objects or media.

2. Maker culture.  Programmes in this field will take a hands-on approach, where participants will take on production strategies through the “DIY” model.  This could be anything ranging from homebuilt electronics, musical instruments, or software engineering.

3. Sustainable lifestyles.  Programmes in this field will investigate the rhythms of life in the contemporary Nordic and Baltic countries, looking at sustainability awareness, behavioural alternatives, and critiques of society.

In 2012 we will invite selected artists to work with us as we develop the dddc network.
